Mirza Ghulam Ahmad believed Musa ﷺ is alive in the Heavens!

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

All Praise is for Allah, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Final Messenger Muhammad ﷺ.

The whole foundation of Ahmadiyya revolves around the false belief that Isa ﷺ has died.  The reason Ahmadis are so desperate to hold on to this belief is because without it, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad's claims of being the "Messiah of latter days" is immediately debunked.  It is for this reason, that whenever Muslims attempt to engage in a debate or discussion with Ahmadis, the Ahmadis will always try to steer the discussion to the issue of Isa ﷺ, and they will attempt (unsuccessfully) to prove from the Quran and the Ahadith that Isa ﷺ has died.

Among the evidences that Ahmadis try to use to support this claim is ayah 144 of Surah Aal-Imran, where Allah says:

The word "ALL" does not exists in this verse. Ahmadis falsely claim that this Ayah is proof that ALL Messengers of Allah, including Isa ﷺ, have passed away.  The following is the Ahmadi interpretation of this verse, from the infamous Ahmadi website AhmadiAnswers

So, as we can see, Ahmadis believe that this verse includes ALL messengers, and therefore Isa ﷺ cannot be excluded, because undoubtedly, he was a messenger of ALLAH.  Ahmadi website clearly states that "Even if one messenger is taken out from this statement then the entire verse fails in logic, which we know cannot happen with the words of Allah." I have refuted the Ahmadi interpretation of this verse in a previous blog post, which can be found here: Debunking the Ahmadi (Qadiani) Claim that the Sahaba Had Consensus on the Death of Isa ﷺ

The interesting thing is, when we look at the writings of Ahmadiyya founder Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, he CLEARLY claims that Isa ﷺ has died, but Musa ﷺ is alive!!  This is something Ahmadis try their best to hide, and if it is brought up in a conversation, they try their utmost to ignore it.

Here are some statements of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad regarding this issue:

- [Ruhani Khazain: Volume 7, Page # 221]

- [Ruhani Khazain: Volume 7, Page # 222]

Translation:

"Do you not read in the Quran that Allah has said: فَلاَ تَكُن فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِّن لِّقَآئِهِ (So do not be in doubt over his meeting). And you know that this ayah was revealed regarding Musa (a.s), so it is a CLEAR PROOF that Musa (alayhissalam) is alive. He had a meeting with the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad) ﷺ, and a DEAD PERSON CAN NOT MEET A LIVING PERSON. You cannot find ayat like this regarding Isa (alayhissalam), but yes, we find statements of his death on several occasions. So reflect! Because Allah loves those who reflect."

- [Hamamt-ul-Bushra in Arabic, Ruhani Khazain: Vol 7, Page 221 - 222]

Another statement of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad regarding the life of Musa ﷺ is as follows:

- [Ruhani Khazain: Volume 8, Page 68]

- [Ruhani Khazain: Volume 8, Page 69]

Translation:

"Isa (a.s) is just another prophet like other prophets, and is a servant of the Shariah of the Prophet (Musa) for whom all the milk (of women) was made Haram until he reached his Mother's milk. His God spoke to him on The Mount of Sinai and blessed him by making him His dear prophet. And he is the same Musa, the man of God, about whom there is a clear sign in the Quran that HE IS ALIVE IN THE HEAVENS, AND IT IS FARD (OBLIGATORY) ON US THAT WE SHOULD BELIEVE THAT HE IS ALIVE IN THE HEAVENS AND NOT AMONG THE DEAD."

- [Noor e Haq in Ruhani Khazain vol 8 page 68 - 69]

Now, these two statements of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani clearly shows his belief that Musa ﷺ is alive in the heavens. Furthermore, he states that it is OBLIGATORY to believe that Musa ﷺ is alive in the heavens, and not dead, and he claims that the Quran clearly proves that Musa ﷺ is alive. Ahmadis cannot even use their regular cop-out excuse that Mirza Ghulam Qadiani made these statements "before he received revelation that Isa ﷺ had died" because he mentions Musa ﷺ being alive and Isa ﷺ being dead in the SAME PARAGRAPH in Hamamt-ul-Bushra, Roohani Khazain vol 7 page 221 - 222, as referenced above. This puts Ahmadis in a very difficult position, because it contradicts their interpretation of the Quran 3:144, which they claim proves that ALL Messengers have passed away.

In light of this, I have one question for Ahmadis:

Is Musa ﷺ alive in the heavens?

If you answer 'YES', you have automatically contradicted your interpretation of Quran 3:144, which you claim proves that ALL Messengers have died, because you have excluded Musa ﷺ, who was undoubtedly a messenger.

If you answer 'NO', you have automatically admitted that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a liar, because he clearly said that it is OBLIGATORY to believe that Musa ﷺ is alive in the heavens, and NOT DEAD.

There is no way an Ahmadi can answer this question without contradicting the foundation of Ahmadiyya itself. I hope Ahmadis will open their eyes and see this, and realize that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was nothing but a fraud.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Final Messenger Muhammad ﷺ, his family, his companions, and those who follow them until the Last Day.

May ALLAH guide Ahmadis to the right path. Aameen
